The focus of both classes is on improving flexibility in key areas for riders (hip openers, hamstring muscles, etc.) and core strengthening, which is vitally important for riders to improve stability, posture, and to improve spinal function.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: Our trainers tell us what to do, but sometimes our bodies just don’t seem to listen!
Achieving effective aids in riding requires balance, stabilization, and strength throughout the entire body. However, unlike many other sports, we are supposed to make this look “effortless” and “invisible” to the eye. This requires incredible coordination and proper synchronization of your muscular system. Learning the three essential keys to achieving an independent and balanced seat will optimize your communication with your horse. Join Dr. Andrea Sargent as she introduces and discusses the foundations of achieving effective aids, through an interactive and fun display of your body’s movement mechanics.
Dr. Sargent (BSc-Biomechanics, DC) is a human chiropractor and founder of Optimum Strides Chiropractic Performance. With post-graduate training in equine chiropractic care, Dr. Sargent's practice focuses on education, treatmentrehabilitation of both horse and rider.
